The trio are as smooth and sleek as you could
ask, but when grit and grease and a little R&B are
required, the musicians are never at a loss.

The Tri-Fi Guys -
The Tri-Fi tour of Michigan was a blast - a blast of snow! We got about 10 inches
of snow overnight on one of the days, but had a lot of fun none the less. We had
great turnouts at our shows in spite of the inclement weather. Those Michiganders
are a hearty stock and aren't afraid of a little snow and ice! We even got to make
a bunch of new young fans when we played a special concert for an elementary school in
Kalamazoo to teach them a bit about jazz.
We'll post more photos (and hopefully some sound clips) once we thaw out, so be sure to check back very soon...
What a fun night of music and friends. Thanks to everyone who came out to hear us. For those of you who missed it, we've posted photos and music from the event. Check it out. It'll feel almost like you were there...
Matthew Fries - piano
Keith Hall - drums
Phil Palombi - bass
with special guest
Steve Wilson on saxophone.
Recorded in January of this year, this new album is made up of entirely original material, most of which was written specifically for this recording. We took some chances exploring some different directions, which we think proved to be a lot of fun and very musical. We hope you enjoy it!
